NBA Comparison: Kareem Rush
Strengths: Very smooth player, smooth in just about everything he does...Left-handed player
with a decent crossover which he utilizes when relatively unpressured...Can certainly create his own shot, hits about the
same percentage of his created shots as his spot-up shots...Shooting is streaky, but has had his share of hot games, getting
into a zone...Best NBA-related attribute is his three point shot. Makes up the major portion of his offensive game, possessing
a quick release...Doesn't even graze the rim when he makes his shots and can develop a reputation as a pure shooter...Possesses
a nice step-back fallaway J from mid-range off the dribble...Plays effortlessly on the court...Has the prototypical NBA shooting
guard body...Durable player. Plays about 37 minutes per game with WVU against top competition, never really missing a beat...4
years of college under his belt, has had good experience playing against some of the better teams such as Duke quite consistently...
Weaknesses: Consistency, especially relating in terms to what he does best, which is shooting...Will
always get his share of points being the primary offensive option on a decent team in WVU, albeit on a lot of shots...Rarely
shoots above 50%, even on his hot games he needs to be a volume shooter to be effective...Can really be held down by players
that are of lesser caliber than him (Ionis Mattis of St. Louis comes to mind) in terms of shooting percentage...Shoots only
around 45% from the field but there is a little precision between those numbers; it is either less or more than that....Can
get invisible within stretches of the game...Not an athletic freak...Doesn't attack the basket enough, prefers to utilize
the jumpshot...Not good at getting to the charity stripe...Game is quite one-dimensional, only shooting, and when that suffers
so does the rest of his game...Lacks court vision, passing ability and rebounding ability...Doesn't do a great job bringing
the ball upcourt especially against pressure defense or double teams...Fumbles the ball even with the slightest bit of contact,
his game can be completely thrown off that way...Can be caught napping on defense...Doesn't seem to take basketball as a serious
profession, needs to give more focus, effort and intensity on really both ends of the court...Does not possess a good attitude
towards the basketball, which leads many to believe that he will not live up to his potential...
