*in alphabetical order*

1) Shareef Abdur-Rahim--In the midst of a losing Kings season, he is one of the few bright spots, giving them an inside presence. Shoots at a high percentage clip and averages 3.3 assists per game currently, looking good in the Princeton offense. However, still a weak defender and putting up career low rebounding numbers. And, as usual, his team isn't winning. Nonetheless, though, I give him some sort of credit--he is really not that recognized this season. I still consider him a very average super-role player, but he deserves more credit than he deserves right now.
2) Carlos Arroyo--Putting up very solid assists numbers/assists per turnover ratio. Seems to have vastly improved his playmaking skills. Had 8 assists and 0 turnovers recently in just 14 minutes of play.
3) Trevor Ariza--Simply on this list because I still think he has huge potential and the ability to break out. Really a Josh Howard-like player with his penchance for getting steals. Unfortunately, NYK doesn't seem to be giving him consistent playing time, and there are many teams that can use him. I really like his game.
3) Leandro Barbosa--Was an excellent bench contributor for the Suns early in the season (averages 14 points in 25 minutes) especially in their run-and-gun offense. 53% from the field, 39% from threes. Even though he severely seems to lack point guard skills, he scores extremely well and for that he should be recognized, despite his injuries. Seems to have found his niche.
4) Shane Battier--Always solid, and forever will be. Putting him up in this list because he's really had a nice season so far--51% FGs, 48% 3FGs, 1.13 spg, 1.33 bpg. There's a reason why Memphis is an excellent defensive team this year--and he's a big part of it. His numbers aren't eye-boggling, only 13 points a game, but he can be a vital ingredient for any playoff-bound team. Deserves even a modicum of credit.
5) Chauncey Billups--I know he got all hyped up after winning MVP of the Finals, but I just want to point out how much Chauncey has improved his playmaking skills--and I believe this aspect of his game is severely underrated. Last year Chauncey averaged 5.8 apg--now he averages 8.7!!! And he's still shooting extremely well too--now he's really become a dangerous combo guard, with the shooting/passing combination.
6) Chris Bosh--Perhaps being in a losing team like Toronto doesn't generate much hype for him, but you can't deny 21-9 on good FG-FT percentages. Enough said.
7) Elton Brand--Getting more hype this year, but has had a dominant season with 26-11-2.5 bpg. This can't be overlooked at all.
8) Pat Burke--Really a good bench compliment for the Suns' offense, runs the floor well, dunks, shoots high percentages (62%) and has proven he can shotblock as well (0.8 bpg). Totally looks different from his horrible Orlando season.
9) Caron Butler--Potential sixth man of the year, averages 15 points off the bench on 87% FTs, despite going 0-15 from three at this point. A huge sparkplug who even puts up the steals numbers (as we've seen with the Lakers last year). He deserves more credit than that for making the Wizards' engine go.
10) Jackie Butler--Has finally shown some flashes after being long considered a bust by draft circles. 9-10 from the line against Charlotte.
11) Jose Calderon--Been getting some notice now, but he is really a special PG in the sense that he can really find the open man. Early on ranked among the top 20 in assists per game--OFF THE BENCH!!! Very nice defender and has some athletic tools as well--has dunked over Zo.
12) Marcus Camby-- Putting up All-star numbers with 16-13-1.6 spg-3.3 bpg. Really a monster on defense and has not really been injured in recent years. Quite an underrated big man.
13) Speedy Claxton--Putting up solid sixth man numbers and started the season extremely well; he was in my list last year, still think he is underrated what not with his speed, athleticism, ability to get to the basket, his steals and his decent floor general skills. Has never really been noticed.
14) Luol Deng--I really like what this guy brings to Chicago off the bench; some real solid shooting (14.4 ppg), decent all-around play, and stay-on-your-feet defense. Always seems to play effectively under control; doesn't seem to be getting much hype as of yet either.
15) Boris Diaw--A real candidate for most improved player IMO, really fills up the stat sheet with points, rebounds, assists and even blocks to an extent. Has really found his niche with Phoenix and is now their point-forward, essentially. Nice two-way player, starting to get notice.
16) Ike Diogu--13-15...against the Pistons? Enough said. He's shown enough already to get underrated consideration. Already has 10 dunks in 14 games this season--5 against those Pistons.
17) DeSagana Diop--Just putting him here because it seems like he's found a niche in Dallas, making his living blocking shots. Has lost 30 lbs and gained more mobility, and it shows.
18) Chris Duhon--Started out the season strong, with a triple-double, and has really shown an improved three point shot (remember against the Lakers?). Has always been a decent passer and defender, but this year it seems like he's playing a key cog for the Bulls.
19) Maurice Evans-- Putting up solid decent shooting percentages across the board but has been a nice, athletic, defensive spark off the bench for the Pistons. Deserves some credit--after all he wasn't even drafted to begin with.
20) Derek Fisher--Putting up career stats in points and three point percentage...OFF THE BENCH as a Warrior. I guess not being in the Triangle loosens up his offense. Shooting extremely well and a decent candidate for sixth man of the year.
21) Channing Frye--Along with Chris Paul, one of the most impressive rookies this season. Has shown good scoring ability with all his 20+ point games and good shooting touch to boot. Has the potential to develop into a very nice big man.
22) Dan Gadzuric--Hasn't gotten much minutes this year, but has produced at every opportunity. 5 points per game in 12 minutes, along wtih 3.6 rebounds per game. Those are extremely sick stats when looked at per 48 minutes. Was in my list last year as well, hasn't changed.
23) Danny Granger--I'm a huge fan of this guy, puts up solid shooting and rebounding numbers. Also a very nice defender as well--a player to watch out for.
24) Adrian Griffin--I like what he's done already after signing 1/4 the way into the season--stepped in and silently contributed. Won't be anything other than a defensive role player, but he deserves some credit just for stepping up to plate for Doug Christie.
25) Eddie Griffin--Despite putting up horrible shooting numbers, he is such a dominant rebounder and shotblocker given the minutes he plays. I like his impressive physical tools--such a talent.
26) Brendan Haywood--Has been quite an underrated center for a while, solidly contributing. One of the league leaders in field goal percentage this year added to his points and blocks.
27) Luther Head--One of the rookie surprises this year with solid all-around play and good three point shooting. With all of Houston's injuries he has really stepped up.
28) Eddie House--The only non-star to make it to the top 20 in points per 48 minutes. Enough said. A huge sparkplug off the Phoenix bench despite his lack of PG skills.
29) Andre Iguodala--A bit underrated in the sense that he has increased his shooting percentages (52% FGs, 39% 3FGs), has shown very nice defensive play as usual and is capable of producing all-around numbers. Plays well in the team system.
30) Mike James--Started out the season real well, even scoring 38 against Philly and has been one of the lone bright spots for the Raps. Always plays his tail off and is a nice shooter.
31) Sarunas Jasikevicius--Producing very nice shooting, passing and scoring numbers for a rookie. People had doubts about him, he's just but erased them all.
32) James Jones--Not much of a fan of his game anymore, but still hits threes and shotblocks, being one of the primary wings in the Suns' run-and-gun.
33) Chris Kaman--Had 22-22 in a recent game and has shown flashes all season long. Really improving at a decent pace, deserves more credit for that.
34) Brevin Knight--Yes, I know he produced similar numbers last season, but he doesn't get much respect from the league--must be because he plays in Charlotte. One of the best passers/stealers at the PG position, hands down.
35) Kyle Korver--People should notice his all-around game rather than his shooting. He once had 10 rebounds and 5 assists in a single game this season. That part of his game is vastly underrated.
36) David Lee--Good start to the season putting up some very nice rebounding games. Has made his rookie impression quite well.
37) Shaun Livingston--Has produced very nice assists and steals numbers, should generate some more hype after injury.
38) Tyronn Lue--Bright spot for the Hawks off the bench, leads the league at 53% three point percentage. Has always been a good sparkplug and that hasn't changed.
39) Shawn Marion--Never ceases to amaze with the way he fills up the stat sheet--1.8 spg, 2.2 bpg, 11 rpg, 19 ppg.
40) Donyell Marshall--Always a solid player, but gets little credit. Producing similar numbers to last season's, and like last year, he's underrated.
41) Darius Miles--Put up 19-5-3-1.3-1.5 to lead the Blazers before injury. But with Portland wallowing in quagmire, little notice for the previously inconsistent forward.
42) Alonzo Mourning--Held the fort extremely well with his insane shotblocking while Shaq was out. Also put up solid offensive numbers as well, contrary to his horrible Nets season.  A rejuvenation?
43) Andres Nocioni--Decent contributor off the Bulls bench. Has vastly improved his shooting stroke (45% 3FGs) and has always been a nice defender and rebounder. Very aggressive.
44) Mehmet Okur--A bright spot for the Jazz, averaging 17.5 and 8. Big men who can shoot are a premium, but as usual with bottom-rung teams, gets little notice.
45) Andre Owens--Surprising rookie season--has proven he can shoot, play defense, and show his athleticism for an undrafted pick.
46) Zaza Pachulia--Very inconsistent big men, but he is putting up career numbers; not quite most improved, but leads the league in offensive rebounds per game and rebounds per game despite shooting horribly (41%) from the field.
47) Smush Parker--Was an early candidate for MIP but his numbers have balanced out. Still underrated in the sense that he's a good spot-up shooter and gets many steals per game. Quick hands, good height, solid two-way player.
48) Ruben Patterson --Still producing decent numbers on good shooting percentages when everyone thought that he imploded after being sent back home on a road trip. Still the same player he always was, but always been quite underrated. He's picking up less fouls (1.4) as well.
49) Tony Parker--20.1 ppg on 54% shooting, which is incredibly insane for a PG. Putting up better numbers, should get recognition.
50) Chris Paul---ROY. Hands down. One of the top 5 PGs in the league already--for a rookie.
51) Kendrick Perkins--Has shown flashes of pure center brilliance in his play; has weight and mobility and shown in his 18 rebound performance. Does the dirty work well, can shotblock, and has some nice offensive touch. Fairly underrated with his potential.
52) Morris Peterson--Still an average player, but made this list last year, and he's not that horrible. Decent swingman who deserves some credit so far into this season.
53) Mickael Pietrus--Broke out last year and averaged around 10-11 points before his injury this season. I like his two-way game and his athleticism, he is quite underrated and a clone of J-Rich.
54) Ronnie Price--Athletic SG trapped in a PG's body is making the most of his time. Had 11 points in his first game of significant playing time. 3 of his first 4 made shots were dunks.
55) Laron Profit--When everyone though that his career was going down, stepped it up as a solid bench contributor for the Lakers. Probably lost for the season, but has shown enough, including a surprisingly sweet free throw stroke (87%). Looks like Kobe on the court.
56) Joel Pryzbilla--Still the shotblocker he is, but skilled big men are rare, and he does have offensive potential which can potentially make him a solid two-way player. Bit underrated, up-and-coming.
57) Shavlik Randolph--Horrible Duke campaign, but is making his living in Philadelphia getting an lot of offensive rebounds and stealing the ball. Has really found his niche there.
58) John Salmons--Good start to the season, leveled off, but still has some all-around solid talent off the bench.
59) James Singleton--Great start to the season being the rebounding machine with some offensive talent, then went to Dunleavy's doghouse. Still, he has been noticed.
60) Joe Smith--9 points and 9 rebounds in 26 minutes. Never noticed due to his dirty work, but there is no disputing the fact that he was the 1st pick in the draft, and still has some talent.
61) Josh Smith--Insane 2.1 blocks per game despite shooting below 40% from the field. Great dunker, rarely do you see such players block shots at such a high clip.
62) Salim Stoudamire--Had a 31 point outburst earlier in the season and has really quelled the doubters about his one-dimensional game. Really shooting the ball well.
63) Mike Sweetney--Not too impressive anymore, but still averaging 10 points a game. Still a decent post player.
64) Kurt Thomas--Had a multitude of games where he did the dirty work, got 10+ rebounds while acting as center for the Suns. Does his work well, will get my respect here.
65) Charlie Villanueva--Has been noticed, but has been a key man off the Raps bench with his scoring, rebounding, and shotblocking. Fairly consistent so far.
66) Von Wafer--Sick dunker and athletic freak with good shooting skills should get more playing time under Phil Jackson. His game is underrated and he was a steal in the draft. Had a tip dunk against the Raps off a missed free throw--MJ like.
67) Gerald Wallace--Sick stealer and shotblocker and a very good defensive player. Risks his body just to make the defensive play. Rapidly developing offense and is thriving in Charlotte.
68) Earl Watson--Hadn't been getting much playing time until recently; still a good assist-man with good stealing/defensive ability and hops. Has enough talent to be a starting PG in the league.
69) Hakim Warrick--Has shown some stealing ability, hustle and good defense as well as the ability to get to the line in his early Memphis career.
70) Bonzi Wells--The other part of Sacramento's "light". Scores well from the post, gets to the line, the leading rebounder of the team, a good passer, and gets a couple of steals per game. Fills up the stat sheet and has generally been a good citizen so far. Has played well.
71) David West--Rugged big man who is certainly a candidate for MIP--good scoring ability and rebounding ability. Throwback old-school big man who plays in the post and does all the hustle plays. Underrated, certainly a key reason why N'awlins is enjoying success right now.
