NBA Comparison: Salim Stoudamire

Strengths: One of college basketball's finest shooters...Lightning quick release both static and off the dribble...Can hit well both ways but prefers to play mind games with his opponent, making their defense foolish as he shoots over them...Can shoot well over taller defenders which would bode well for him in the NBA...Great three point shooting percentages, it seems like no shot is bad for him (45%)...Very good mid-range shot as well...Has a nice teardrop floater down the lane which he could make if relatively uncontested...Good free throw shooter (88%)...Quite a clutch player. Wants to take the big shot...Very good scorer relative to the playing time he receives...

Weaknesses: Not that good in any other aspect of the game other than shooting and scoring...Has good ballhandling skills when he creates his own shot, but shows relatively poor ballhandling skills moving with the ball, i.e. like trying to attack the basket...Although he is a relatively consistent three point shooter, the rest of his game (like mid-range) can be streaky...Hasn't really created offense for his teammates and shows relatively little court vision...If he doesn't change his mentality he will be an undersized SG at the next level...Seems to be a ball-dominant player, wants the ball and sometimes can exhibit bad attitude if he doesn't get his share of shots...Horrendous defender due to lack of physical tools, such as athleticism and strength...Will become a post-up target in the NBA for SGs...Doesn't contest shots well...Has had some injury problems in his sophomore year which can lead to lingering concerns...
