NBA Comparison: Voshon Lenard
Strengths: Very good and consistent shooter with range up to NBA three point land...Takes and makes
a lot of shots from there, that should be his primary forte in the NBA level if he makes it...Strong built body, also can
play in the post and back down smaller defenders, where he can make turnaround jumpers with decent regularity...Solid defender,
does a good job keeping his man in front of him, never really goes for the steal and understands man-to-man defense...Has
some court vision, decent at passing the ball to the big man at the high post/low post...Decent off the ball, can act as a
cutter and get to the basket for easy layups...Solid offensive game because he can put points up from virtually everywhere,
even with a decent mid-range J...Has put up wonderful numbers for a sophomore already, has taken lead of his team and helped
them to a very solid record...
Weaknesses: Not much of an athlete; he lacks an good first step, physical tools, good quickness
and leaping ability to make an impact in the NBA...At 6'4", doesn't really seem capable of dunking...Gets to the basket mainly
through cuts, otherwise he prefers the jumpshot...Passing ability is a bit subpar for the NBA SG, and not good for the point
guard position...Shows more shooting guard skills than point guard skills, and probably will be an undersized shooting guard
in the NBA...Can create his own shot, but the results look much worse than when he is open...Has trouble shooting over taller
defenders...Defense in the NBA could be worse because he is shorter than his competition, and he may lack the requisite
athleticism/speed to keep up with the most athletic position in the NBA...Will have to adapt as a role player in this league...Plays
in a relatively unknown school, although it has produced solid NBA'ers in Lamar Odom and Cuttino Mobley...
