NBA Comparison: Smaller Jared Jeffries
Strengths: Has that astonishing combination of bulk, athleticism and speed when most players have
only one or two of these attributes...With that combination he uses it to his advantage in playing both in the post and perimeter
effectively...Inside-outside forward, backs down his man very well and utilizes his body effectively...Left-handed, has a
decent touch from up to 18 feet...Very selective player. Not a risk type of player for better or for worse, but knows when
to take advantage of opportunities...Above average athlete, and has a 7-0 wingspan which he often uses to block shots and
grab rebounds...Runs the floor like a point guard despite his weight...Good feel for the game...Rarely makes mistakes, plays
within himself...
Weaknesses: A pretty good example of a NBA "tweener", has the weight of a PF but the height of a
SF, and although he gets around this by playing both positions very effectively in college, he might have trouble in the NBA....Has
not been assertive enough in his four years with Texas; not underachieving, but never really took command and carried the
load for his young team...Doesn't really demand for the ball...Offensive game doesn't involve any flair; rarely attacks the
basket with a lack of a good first step but gets to the line simply due to his post game...Rarely gets assists even though
he is quite an unselfish player, just lacks good court vision...Not an intimidator despite his weight. Rarely pursues blocking
shots and steals...Invisible within stretches of the game...Needs to take advantage of his physical tools...Too humble....
