NBA Comparison: Sebastian Telfair
Strengths: Point guard full of flash...Likes to dazzle with plays that make SportsCenter's top 10...Crowd-pleaser,
has an assortment of great passing abilities, whether the behind-the-back, between defenders and lob passes...Makes passing
look easy yet fun at the same time...Extremely quick point guard, one of the quicker ones in the country...Above average floor
general, not all just dazzle (even though he prefers it), but can run his team's offense efficiently...Excels in transition
game...Above average athleticism, can also dunk for himself with a running start...
Weaknesses: Scoring is a huge detriment to his game...Sometimes "overdos" his passing to masquerade
his lack of scoring ability...Utilizes speed over the lack of a good first step, and in half-court sets could not get to the
basket that way, only gets to the basket at transition...Quickness is not seen much in half-court sets...Much of his game
thrives on transition only...Rarely looks to take shots, and although he has decent mechanics, the results not often pretty...Not
a good free throw shooter at only 63%...Lacks height and weight. In the NBA level, will be abused by even the average PG in
the post...Defensively not up to par, does not utilize his speed to chase offensive players off the ball and does not seem
to like sticking to his man...
Notes: High School Mc-Donald's All-American, averaged 19 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists in high
school...Has had very impressive workouts but they have not translated well to the court...Quite erratic as starting PG of
Pittsburgh, but he led Pitt to a 23-9 record last season...Scouts say that his athleticism combination with his passing ability
are intriguing...
