NBA Comparison: Morris Petersen
Strengths: A great complimentary wing player full of bulk...Very advanced mid-range shooter...Likes
to hit the 15-footer from the baseline...Likes to stop and pop for the mid-range shot...Good spot-up shooter...Good awareness
of plays, always seems to be ready to spot up and shoot...Decent three point shooter...Consistent player, will always make
his fair share of shots in every game...Smooth athleticism, attacks the basket fairly well and has the requisite bulk to finish...Moves
his feet and plays decently in defense...Very nice NBA wing body with great weight...
Weaknesses: He is consistent in his numbers, but the problem is, he has only been consistent putting
around 10-18 points a game, he rarely got above 20 in college...Doesn't seem to be a tenacious player. Lacks a killer instinct
and a desire to improve, seems to be content to be a 3rd string player even in college...Numbers have stagnated ever since
his sophomore year...Rarely gets steals despite sticking to his man...Doesn't use his body all too well, not a good rebounder
even for a wing guard and doesn't back down smaller wings in the post...Rarely hustles and takes "risk" plays...Takes too
many outside jumpers...Questions about the fact whether he can create his own shot...Not a freak athlete, just gets by seemingly...Horrible
assist to turnover ratio. Not that he's selfish, but rarely gets to handle the ball, just spots up and shoots really...
Notes: Another comparison? Jarvis Hayes, Martell Webster, Bobby Simmons...Favorite football team
is the Oakland Raiders...Likes to listen to his IPod in his spare time....Favorite song is "So Sick" by Ne-Yo...Smart athlete
off the court, 4.0 GPA in high school with a 1380 in his SAT.
