NBA Comparison: Antonio Daniels
Strengths: Interesting point guard with some standout NBA PG attributes with regards to the position...Possesses
a great build for the point guard position. Not only does he possess excellent height and build, he also has very good lateral
quickness as well. Does a solid job guarding both types of guards, from the taller/slower ones to the shorter/quicker ones...Excellent
once he gets within a 10-foot radius of the basket. Capable of doing so through his relentless drives thanks to a great first
step, good second bounce, good speed with the ball in his hands and the athleticism and strength to elevate, take contact
and finish...Loves to put himself in a position to get a layup...Gets to the free throw line at will. For a point guard, even
at the college level, possesses a good field goal per free throw ratio, which is remarkable and normally only applicable to
big men...Very good free throw shooter (81%) to make defenses pay to boot...Another option through his slashing ability, giving
him so point guard potential, is his excellent drive-and-dish ability. Commands defenses due to his danger around the painted
area and he capitalizes through nifty, fancy passes which even include behind-the-backs, wrap-arounds to bigs or kickouts
to perimeter players...Rarely seems to make a mistake when he slashes, makes something happen...Loves the up-tempo style of
game and plays as either the passer or the finisher. Despite not being a pure PG, this is how he garners many of his assists
in the process...Good athleticism, running start and speed allows him to easily dunk...Physical tools are basically down
pat..Applies great defensive pressure especially on-the-ball. Scurries and gets by screens pretty well and does a fairly yeoman's
job off-the-ball as well...Fairly smart defender who can draw a fair share of charges...Solid passing the ball in the team's
offense as well...Never really foul prone despite being such a good defender...Besides slashing and driving/dishing, doesn't
make many risk plays..Amazingly very turnover-free, doesn't turn the ball over much at all. Does a good job with ball protection
and being fairly opportunistic...His great point guard physical profile combined with his good defense are often enough to
intrigue scouts, but his slashing/dishing and turnover free attributes make him an even more intriguing prospect...
Weaknesses: Really has some major weaknesses relating to the guard position. His jumpshot is in massive
need of work...Does take jumpshots, but it severely lacks consistency. Barely tips college three point range and doesn't always
look to take them even when open...Mid-range jumpshot is slightly better but needs more work as well, the mechanics are there
but the shot is not. This could be a concentration problem. The fact that he can shoot free throws gives hope to this area
of his game...Sometimes seems to force his slashes, but his astounding physical attributes often allow him to make something
happen out of nothing there...Plays suppressed very often. One often gets the impression that he can be better than what he
currently is. Gets very invisible at times, even stopping slashing and seemingly lacking motivation even to oil the offense,
which is a grave concern especially for a PG....Doesn't always leave his mark in the game even against the mid-major competition
he faces, which is a bit alarming considering he has the slashing and physical tools to dominate the competition...Not a pure
PG. Can slash and dish extremely well but struggles when running an offense and directing his teammates appropriately. He
doesn't always get all of his players touches as the point guard. Not entirely good at finding players off the dribble or
in static positions from the perimeter...Fairly mediocre competition raises some concern...Has many intriguing strengths but
flaws regarding his jumpshot, invisibility and passing ability are fairly big concerns...
