NBA Comparison: Jake Tsakalidis
Strengths: Possesses some touch for a big man, can score perpendicularly from the basket via a right
jumphook or a dunk...Big body. The NBA loves having a tall presence to patrol the paint..Solid strength as of now especially
in the lower body, has the frame to carry on more weight...Average defensive presence with the ability to alter or block shots
with his height and relative attentiveness, even against slashing perimeter defenders...Slightly above average rebounder....Better
reflexes than one would think, has some coordination...Still learning the game, but has come far over the past couple of years...
Weaknesses: Like many other European big men, simply lacks the athleticism to justify his place in
the NBA level, although his coordination and motor are solid...Most of the opposition easily learns his tendencies over time
and find ways to neutralize his game...Gets himself into foul trouble extremely often, not only throughout the game but especially
early on in the game which is somewhat of a red flag...Very predictable. Exposes the ball every time on his way up leading
him to get stripped easily, and doesn't have the best hands to catch passes as well..Tends to jump on every defensive play
trying to get the block...Not a prolific shotblocker despite his height...Little offensive game or offensive potential. Horrible
touch makes him miss shots around the basket other than dunks, and doesn't use angles well for the glass either. Finds it
hard to score even despite his height unless given an absolutely clean look...No perimeter game...Lacks upper body strength
where post players have a tendency to abuse him...Has had some mild injury problems but doesn't seem to be an issue...Issues
with a buyout. Signed a 4-year contract with Galil Erizod in Slovenia just this year, although he is clearly still a project
and teams might be willing to accept stashing him in Europe for a couple of years...
