NBA Comparison: David Lee
Strengths: An excellent role player who seemingly can fit into any offensive scheme; unlike many
role players he makes a living thriving off the ball...Does not need touches to make an impact, and even makes an impact without
scoring...Monster rebounder. His team often outrebounds the opposing team by a solid differential, mostly because of him...Excellent
hands, great reflexes, exemplary timing and above average vertical leap allow him to get rebounds both in and out of his position...Strength
allows him to box out properly despite his size, always gets a hand on the ball...Excellent heart, hustle and intangibles.
Shows a hunger for the game and even seems to relish doing the dirty work despite his talents...Great at scoring buckets off
of offensive rebounds, comprises a lot of his points...Good touch in general, both around the basket and from 10 feet inwards...Underrated
athleticism. Often uses his athleticism to scrap and score but can be the recipient of some impressive power dunks when open...Improving
passer out of double teams, always unselfish...Shoots at a ridiculously high percentage because he takes high percentage shots
(64%)...Good free throw shooter (74%)...Shows good positioning in hands which allows him to strip opposing post players on-the-ball...Hustles
well on defense especially on rotations...Extremely efficient player..Puts up impressive numbers despite being far from the
focus of the team..
Weaknesses: Somewhat undersized for the power forward position at 6'8", although his tenacity and
his ability to play bigger than his body somewhat make up for that...Only average on the open floor primarily due to his girth
and bulky body frame...Athleticism is primarily evident when jumping upwards, but not sideways...Has touch, but lacks great
range. Seems to be preoccupied with his role of hustling and rebounding that he has not really made strides in terms of offensive
versatility...Not imposing or intimidating on defense, but rather plays smart; not a shotblocker...Perimeter defense is average
at best, and due to lack of height there are times when bigger players are able to score over him despite his hustle...May
get into foul trouble at times playing too hard on both ends of the court...
