NBA Comparison: Marcus Camby
Strengths: Long and lanky big man whose best attribute is his terrorizing defense...Utilizes both
smarts and physical tools in his defense...Lots of steals and blocks...Quick anticipating hands help strip the ball in the
post...Likes to poke the ball away from defenders...Knows how to place himself in the appropriate defensive position and time
himself for blocks...7'5" wingspan makes him a very good weakside shotblocker...Smart post defender as well, rarely gets backed
down too far under the paint...Strong defensive rebounder, boxes out at times as well as uses his length to get them...Runs
the floor well...Dunks the ball hard...
Weaknesses: For a person that smart on defense, his offense is simply atrocious...Takes shots he
shouldn't be taking...Doesn't have much range on his shot as it is common to see him airballing open 15-footers...Even though
he cannot get backed down easily finds it hard to back down his own man in the post...Doesn't have a soft touch on his jumper.
In order for his offense to improve needs to change his touch 360 degrees...Doesn't look to pursue offensive rebounds as much
as those on the defensive end...Shot less than 45% from the field in such a weak conference and only averaged single digits
scoring, and for a center that shows how pitiful his offensive game really is....May need to put on some more weight
on his frame, otherwise he's more suited for the PF slot rather than the center slot...
