NBA Comparison: Michael Finley (now)
Strengths: A very confident threat on both ends of the floor...Primed ballhandling skills make him
an apt slasher, using strength and solid ballhandling skills to shred apart defenses single-handedly...Gets to the line a
lot at the college level due to his combination of basketball IQ, strength, athleticism and court savvy, and hits at a 80%
clip there...Knows how to get off his shot through crossing his man, pulling up, or fading away when necessary..Quite athletic,
capable of running the court and finishing well in transition game...Very passionate. Wants to win the game...Clutch. Takes
the big shots and willing to accept responsibility...Solid at passing the ball within the offense, doesn't bog it down...Solid
defender who shows a sort of tenacity on that end with his strength, height, smarts and athleticism...NBA body, ready to contribute....
Weaknesses: Doesn't wow in any particular aspect of the game, not a flashy type...Has athleticism
but rarely if ever makes the flashy play, prefers to use his basketball IQ and intangibles to make the play...A very developed
player whose numbers have stagnated in between his sophomore to senior years, leaving scouts to wonder how much potential
is left in him...Not a prime scorer despite being a senior. Jumpshot is an issue, lacks consistency and range after 18-20
feet, as well as a slow release in his jumpshot...Capable slasher in the college level, but his athleticism is just slightly
above average leaving it up in the air whether he will have the same success there in the NBA...Can be a bit selfish at times,
being prone to taking too many jumpshots when he should be attack the basket...A lot of red flags off the court. A smart player
on the court, but seems to be a locker room cancer. Has a short fuse and temper, can argue with referees...The other issue
is injuries. Has severe back problems causing him to miss huge chunks of his season junior year, and he has been playing through
injury much of senior year limiting his effectiveness....
