Parker currently possesses a nice face-up game, which primarily consists of his excellent slashing
ability. Parker possesses long strides and solid explosiveness in his first step and already possesses excellent ballhandling
skills--for a freshman--to help him slash to the basket the rest of hte way. Parker is a good athlete who can initiate his
own contact and get to the line quite a bit as well through his slashes. And of course, Parker has an NBA body--6'6" 200 lbs.,
the prototypical shooting guard. What Parker needs to improve on his all-around game: his offense is so based on slashing
and although he can hit the mid-range or surprise you with a college-range three from time to time, he doesn't take enough
and he shows little consistency in hitting them. His jumpshot needs definite improvement. Parker's effort is also not focused
on rebounding and passing much, rather preferring to have the ball for himself whether in half-court sets or transition to
force slashes. His basketball IQ doesn't appear to be very good and he doesn't seem to pass the ball much upon receiving it.
He's a bit one-dimensional in slashing right now, and he's only a good, but not great, athlete. His defense is questionable
as well. But he has four years to make his impact at UNC, and a lot of potential to come with it.
