NBA Comparison: Larry Hughes
Strengths: An all-around defensive stopper...Thrives in pressuring his man...Long arms and great
anticipation skills...Averaged a little over 2 steals per game for Arizona last season, which is phenomenal for a freshman...Never
gives up on the defensive play, always tries his best...Moves away from screens well and generally well off the ball...His
defensive intensity spreads to the team and is infectious...Very vocal leader on the court...On offense, excels in transition
game. Runs the floor well and likes to dunk as the recipient of the passes...Above average athleticism...Leaps high to get
rebounds...Good potential...
Weaknesses: A lot of his game, aside from his five-star defense, is still very raw as of yet...Has
a varied offensive game, but none of it is really good...Has trouble finishing around the basket...Shot only 35% from the
field and 26% from threes last season...Can get too carried away with his intensity on offense...Has potential on offense,
but he needs to refine his mechanics and play with more poise on offense...Ballhandling skills need work, has a tendency to
drop the ball and be turnover prone...On defense sometimes gets too intense and picks up cheap fouls...Not much court vision,
and doesn't seem too adept at passing within the offense either...Needs to add a lot of weight; he may have trouble in both
offense and defense in the NBA if he doesn't add any more.
