NBA Comparison: Jim Jackson
Strengths: Tough and versatile player who can play all three perimeter positions, although his primary
one is probably at shooting guard...On offense, mostly a spot-up shooter, taking wise shots and never really anything out
of the context of the offense...Solid shooting touch from mid-range and three point range...Has some savviness and craftiness
to his game, using pump fakes and headfakes to lose his man and get an easier shot...More than capable passer. Sometimes runs
an offense semi-decently and is aware of all of his teammates even under pressure, thus making appropriate passes when necessary...Has
shown some capacity to create off the dribble for his teammates...Solid ballhandling skills, but improvable...Tough physique
with some upper body strength, once he puts on more lbs. he can be force to reckon with defensively...Solid at keeping
with his man...Good defensive rebounder...
Weaknesses: Does a little bit of everything, but nothing particularly well, even though he does have
flashes of rebounding explosions or passing explosions thus showing more potential in these areas...Not a totally apt decision-maker,
sometimes passes up open shots or makes strange offensive decisions (such as attacking the basket when the open jumpshot will
do)...May disappear at times within the game or get complacent when he gets into a funk...Biggest weakness in regards to NBA
success might be lack of athleticism. Very average athlete, limiting his first step and his ability to attack the basket...Really
a half-court player as opposed to transition player...Rarely ever dunks...Decent ballhandling skills around the perimeter
but has trouble dribbling into traffic as well which limits his slashing opportunities...Not a flashy player, cannot break
anyone off the dribble...Probably will be a solid role player at the next level...Not the quickest player, although tough,
might have trouble defensively at the next level...
Notes: Helped Xavier get into the Final Four last year and made a name for himself, although he struggled.
Has a lot of trademark tatoos around his arm. Possesses a tendency to say quick prayers on the court and says it often helps
him become more effective.
