NBA Position: Early Calbert Cheaney
Strengths: NBA-ready build...Has a good defensive reputation, sticks with his man and plays hard...Good
man-defender, not an excessive gambler but has a decent feel for grabbing loose balls and poking the ball away leading to
steals...Usually lowers his man's shooting percentages...Lefty player with solid mid-range shooting game, constitutes the
bulk of his points currently when he looks for his shot...Decent athleticism...Solid rebounder for his position...
Weaknesses: A lot of what he does isn't overly impressive...Not really talented, because he really
plays within himself and doesn't receive the ball much...Seems to be content as a role player...Doesn't show up much in the
stat sheet often, doesn't blow anyone away in the stat sheet...Besides defense, lacks a standout attribute which could bring
him over the top...Not a real good jumpshooter, mid-range shot can be a streaky, and lacks range...Poor ballhandling skills,
preventing him from attacking the basket effectively in the EuroLeagues...Not a speedster and a super athletic player, may
have trouble guarding the more physically gifted swingmen in the NBA...Has a tendency to get into foul trouble over the course
of the game...
