NBA Comparison: Darrell Armstrong
Strengths: A strong leader who leads by example, always gives 110% and plays hard...Tight defender.
Never gives his man an inch of daylight, sticks to him like steel on a magnet, and always has his eyes on the ball...Extremely
quick feet defensively and decent one-on-one defender...Quick anticipation skills, takes advantages by his man's miscues (bad
passes, bad dribbling technique, etc.) to snatch up steals...Plays with heart, rarely seen in such a young European prospect...Elevates
the play of others through his intensity...Jumpshot is coming along, currently he is focusing on his three point shot and
it is rapidly improving...Decent driving to the basket and finishing, has slightly above athleticism for the NBA level and
certainly for the EuroLeague and can finish well at times...Can be a decent playmaker, running simple plays off half-court
sets and giving everyone the right amount of touches...Good rebounder for his size, great intangibles...Rarely turns the ball
over, not a risque type player...Makes the most out of his physical abilities...
Weaknesses: Size. At 6-0 and 169 lbs, he is certainly undersized for the NBA point guard position
and he does not even possess great passing skills to boot...Will become a post-up target in the NBA and may be a defensive
liability at the next level (faces easier competition at the EuroLeague) and even his heart might not fully make up for that...His
frame makes him a weakness for off-the-ball defense where he is capable of getting lost off screens...Very average court vision
and passing skills. Does nothing really flashy, doesn't put his teammates at good scoring positions and doesn't draw defenders
real well...Lacks a mid-range game currently, and three point shot is still erratic although improving...Small size may affect
his drives to the basket, may be less effective at the NBA...Very average overall speed, won't stand out at the NBA...
