NBA Comparison: Reggie Evans
Strengths: A rock-solid big whose sole focus is to pad his rebounding stats...Very tenacious player
who hustles and gets his rebounds in many ways, whether by grabbing loose balls on the floor, ripping the ball off of the
opponent's hands, boxing out, crashing to the floor, getting behind his opponents, etc...Willing to sacrifice his body and
pick up fouls just for the sake of the rebound and the possession...May play dirty at times but grabs as many offensive rebounds
as defensive rebounds, having big strong hands to secure the board and prevent it from getting stripped...On defense he is
capable of fouling if necessary to prevent easy baskets, and possesses a strong chiseled body to not be backed up excessively
into the post one-on-one....Capable of scoring garbage buckets, even contested ones, at times and getting many easy put-backs
and dunks in the process...Also gets to the line fairly often due to that...Has a mean streak...Decent running the court...Understands
his role on the court...He has rebounded in double figures in 90% of this season's games...Ended his career in Georgetown
as one of its top ten leaders in rebounds, no small feat especially since they have so many legendary centers hailing from
there...
Weaknesses: A one-dimensional player in the fact that he only looks to pursue rebounds and due little
else...Both offense and defense are very below average. On offense, possesses little to no touch, as evidenced by how he shoots
at the free throw line (40%) and the fact that when he sometimes takes mid-range jumpshots, they miss badly and sometimes
even airball...When he attempts layups, sometimes they do not even go in due to his lack of touch (bangs the ball off the
glass too hard)...Defenders literally leave him open at times around the perimeter knowing he cannot do much from there...Little
to no ballhandling skills, even after one or two dribbles he may be prone to losing the ball under tight individual defensive
pressure...On defense, lacks the athleticism and ability to guard perimeter players...Poor rotation defender, if teams play
zone he may be exposed...Individual defender is fairly better, but he is undersized and defenders can easily shoot over him
as he has a fairly slow reaction and doesn't do a good job botherng his defender or putting his hands up...Lacks general talent,
but he can secure himself a niche in the NBA if he puts his mind to it...
