NBA Comparison: Charlie Bell
Strengths: A wildly erratic off guard who can put up points in a hurry and go off for explosive scoring
nights...Likes to take responsibility with the ball in his hands, a confident shooter who gets into a shooting groove easily
and does not get mentally rattled...Smooth ballhandling skills. Breaks down defenders at ease and like most scorers, his offense
is unpredictable. Back down and he will drill the shot. Stay in his grill and he will utilize an explosive first step and
take you to the basket. Continue to pester him he will cross over as many times necessary and drill the shot...Offensive game
is so methodical and comes so naturally to him, and when he's on, the shot doesn't even graze the net, a thing of beauty...Shoots
both spot-up and off-the-dribble well....Athletic. Not a super athletic freak, but has great body control, a good first step
to get to the basket, and a flair for the creativity to finish around the basket...Has adeptly played PG at parts of this
year, distributing the ball off drive-and-dishes decently and passing the ball within the offense well when he puts his mind
to it...Same athleticism used in defense. Extremely quick feet movement, pesters his man and keeps an appropriate distance
between his man, avoiding fouls while playing generally decent stay-on-your-feet defense...Puts in effort and doesn't disappear
within games like most other players, will keep shooting with confidence even if he is cold...Strong leader....
Weaknesses: Wildly erratic, as stated in the first part of this report. His unpredictably is as much
a strength as it is a weakness. Limits turnovers, but often draws double teams and doesn't respond well to them, often running
into brick walls and putting himself into a bad passing/shooting position on the court...Court awareness is generally limited
to the basket, he is very focused on that to the point he isn't aware of his teammates or even the other defenders...Never
met a shot he did not like, although that his improving with his grasp of the team concept...Likes to dribble and dribble
and dribble some more. He has the ball in his hands for most of the shot clock...Doesn't get to the free throw line as much
as one would think (3.5 times a game)...Undersized SG with a weak body. Limited PG skills, needs to improve this part of his
game to develop into at least a combo guard...Speed on defense makes up for his weight, but he can still get abused by stockier
PGs and needs to add at least 20 lbs....Extremely streaky shooter with hot or cold nights. Very unpredictable and is
responsible for most of his team's wins and losses, hasn't won much as well...Overconfidence can be mistaken with cockiness
at times, teammates have been up-and-down with his personality...
Notes: Another comparison? Monta Ellis. Favorite song is Shakira "Hips Don't Lie"...Was a member
of Dopus Magnus in high school...Has a mohawk which many fans might find affable in the NBA in terms of personalities.
